The Women of Ireland: With hearts as big as lions and courage of the bear
the brave women of Ireland proudly fought and did their share.
They suffered loss so bravely but their hearts were strong and true
there wasn’t any sacrifice that they would refuse to do.
They fought for Ireland’s freedom to show us how to be strong,
they fought for Ireland’s freedom to right the evil wrong
they fought so that the world would see the strength of Irish love
that women would fight to the end for the men and the country they most dearly love.
Yes, those women are courageous, but many were/are like you and me
with hearts that yearned for justice and an Ireland – unfettered and most of all FREE.
